Kevin Keegan is bang out of order!

First of all I am shocked that Kevin Keegan doesnt seem to know the rules or is there one rule for Arsenal and another for the rest?

Last week against Fulham, Eboue was twice fouled from behind. They were cynical fouls from Murphy and Taimooriyan. There was absolutelty no intent on getting the ball but simply to stop the man at all expense. On both instances the referee awarded Arsenal a free kick and gave a yellow card to the offending player. Now yesterday Nasri trips Barton, looking at the replay it was hard to even tell whether it was deliberate but I admit Nasri had motive but that alone is not enough to find a man guilty. I can bet you anything with the video evidence the FA would never have concluded whether it was deliberate or accidental trip.

Yet Mr Keegan goes out and confronts Nasri and then Gallas, pointing fingers at them and starting a spat. Then he claims Nasri should have been red carded. Why? Murphy and Taimooriyan were not red carded yet their fouls were much worse and intentional. Do only Arsenal players get red carded for tackling from behind deliberately?

Keegan should be explaining why, when there are a few minutes left on the clock, the score is 3-0 and everyone seemed to have been resigned to the result of an Arsenal win does Barton come in charging like a bull terrier and unleashes a hard lunge / tackle on Nasri which could possibly have broken his leg? Yes he got the ball and yes the challenge was legal but what we have a beef with is the intent. It was clear from Barton’s actions and body language it was one of those moments of madness that has plagued his entire life. After all the crap this guy has gone through over the last couple of years you would have thought he would have cooled down and learnt something but yesterday made it clear it has not and this guy is a waiting disaster a timebomb waiting to explode any second.

The booing of Arsenal fans really got to Barton and that is what that tackle was about. He got so wound up by the booing that he lost his cool, just like he did when he repeatedly punched his team mate (Dabo) who was out cold on the ground, just like he lost it when he had that drunkun brawl after a late night drinking session. It is clear the guy still has a mental problem he should not be roaming around in free society let alone be allowed on a football pitch.

Now the second point. Keegan made quite a big deal of the penalty that was given crying of how if his team had got that break we would have had a game. Your team never got that break because your team spent most of their time in their own half so the likelihood of that break going your way were very remote. And did he forget about the blatant, stonewall penalty on RVP that was not given? Wasnt that a break that went your way Mr Keegan? Justice was done in the end! So I dont understand all of his bitching and moaning.

I respect Keegan quite a lot even after his illogical ramblings yesterday. I have just put it down to emotions since he is an emotional guy as we all very well know!

By the way what a great player Nasri is? And I think from now on he will (or atleast should) be taking all of our free kicks.

Wenger please buy Alonso and all is forgiven!

I hope Arsene Wenger gets his thumb out of his ass and buys Xabi Alonso. First of all I cannot believe Liverpool are allowing this top quality player to leave secondly if they are we should make sure we snap him up.

Forget about trying to get a last minute bargain deal just make sure we get him asap. One thing I have noticed recently is the fact we are not dominating posession as we normally do. Even against FC Twente we couldnt dominate posession. Alonso signing will ensure we will go into games expecting to dominate posession as we did last year in most games.

So stop messing about go and use some of that extra millions you are earning by yet again increasing the season ticket prices and buy Alonso!

Sorry Mr Adebayor but we are not thick!

Please dont insult our intelligence. This is the guy that gave a press conference on how he was going to stay only to give another interview to the likes of sky minutes later stating he might leave and was looking at all options.

How convenient that just when Barcelona go cool on him suddenly he signs a contract and expresses his undying love for the club and the fans. The club and the fans he has put through hell all summer.

In my opinion we should have taken anything over £20 million for him and bought a decent striker. He is way overated I dont like his lazy attitude on the pitch and I dont like his arrogant and big headed attitude. He has a tendancy to miss sitters and I really cannot understand what the fuss is all about when it comes to Adebayor. This is a guy who misses 4 chances before he converts 1. Misses chances at crucial points of the game, is not a team player and is too self obsessed with his ownself. His head swells up at a faster rate than the universe did immediately after the Big Bang!

I think it is a mistake to not sell him not only did we have a good opportunity to cash in but he is also a bad influence. I hope I am proven wrong.

Nasri In, Hleb out! Do we call this progress?

Arsenal today officially announced the signing of Samir Nasri for an  undisclosed fee.

With the state that our club is in, this couldnt have happened unless Barcelona had handed us the cash for Hleb. Why else has it taken us so long to complete this signing? What is bothering me is not so much that we are losing Hleb (it does bother me) but the fact that we are in such terrible financial situation that we cannot buy a £12 million player without selling one of our own. Pay attention to the chain of events.

Hleb announces his desire to leave we become interested in Nasri. Barcelona show interest in Arshavin suddenly the Nasri transfer comes to a stalemate so does the Hleb transfer. Barcelona bid twice for Arshavin and fail. Suddenly Hleb is on his way to Barcelona. As soon as that happens we sign Nasri.

The Hleb deal must have been completed. Like Wenger said we are a selling club. It is a shame and an insult to our club. Even Spuds are not a selling club. Why dont we have any money? After charging fans the highest ticket prices in the country why are we skint? Where is all the money going?

Coming back to the main point. Is it progress when we sell one of our established player at the peak of his powers for a player who is unknown in the EPL? He will take 6 months to adapt. We might be out of the EPL by that time. Why dont we ever build on our successes? Since the Invincibles were dismantled we have seen more players out and less players in. Established players out and youth players in. I am fed up, sick and tired. I am sick and tired of seeing my club being used as a stepping stone by players who want to join Barcelona and Real Madrid.

I am fed up of losing our big players at their peak to clubs like Barcelona. I am fed up of waiting for young unknown players to grow up only to leave us for Barcelona, AC Milan, Real Madrid e.t.c.

I dont want to see Adebayor wear an Arsenal shirt ever again!

I must admit Adebayor’s form suprised me last season. I did not think he was capable of scoring so many goals in a season. But then again when you play for Arsenal FC upfront and the creative midfield players create tonns of chances for you then you just need to be half decent to score that many goals?

Yes Adebayor scored 30+ goals but he also missed sitters at key points in important games. Like the sitters he missed against Manchester United and Birmingham City. He still lacks composure on those big chances. He has imporved a hell of a lot from last season but frankly its still not good enough.

More than his finishing I admire other attributes of his game such as his pace, his aerial ability and he is pretty damn skillful. If only he could improve his composure and finishing he would be a complete world class player.

Regardless of that though I dont want to see Adebayor ever wear the Arsenal shirt after the comments and the way he has behaved in the press this year. A club that rescued his career, a manager that bought him out of the abyss and turned him into a world class striker and the fans that sing songs for him every game dont deserve what they have to put up with from Adebayor.

If we get anything above £30 (overall) million we should sell him. Make Eto part of the deal and buy a defensive midfielder with the remaining cash.
